Do you believe in a future dystopia? Do current events make dystopia feel inevitable?
We can’t work towards a brighter future if we can’t envision one. Utopian Futures will include my reactions to current events - through the lens of the future I believe is possible.
The good news is positive shifts have already begun that will shape our future. The better news is we are aware of these shifts and can actively engage in them, creating the futures we want together. Some new beginnings I see:
Post-currency – after currency ends, what does valuable mean and how do we measure value?
Remote government – elected officials working from home, closer to their constituents and further from lobbyists.
Collective creation – positive outcomes of today’s social media
Biological evolution – science itself evolves with the scientists
Abundance distribution – not redistribution of wealth, a reality of plenty
Each will be its own research-laden article with links for you to explore. Let me know which you’d most like to discover first. Disclaimer: I may also get intrigued by some random headline and do a deep dive on the potential positive futures it inspires.
Sharing the emergence of these new beginnings - and how you can play an active role in the potential futures they portend - is the official opening chapter of Utopian Futures.
This is where I share my visions.
This is Utopian Futures.
